Abs Air Bag
ABS, headlights, interior lights and air bag lights acting up after engine wash!!?
I may have leaked an absolutely minimal amount of water from an engine wash into the fuse box. What do i have to do to fix the immense damage my electrics are going through and how much would it cost?
Car is a 2000 Volvo S80 T6, all electrics are acting up majorly.
Is it going to start in the morning if i just leave it and hope it dries?
Most typically the item that causes all of those items to act up together is water in the alternator (Volvo’s and VW are really fussy with this) causing the system voltage to rise too high, or to produce too much voltage ripple.
Simplest is let it dry on it’s own for at least 24 hours in a warm dry area. Try it again and if it’s ok, great, if not, then there may have been some damage to the alternator or one of the body computers.
It will probably start fine, it just may still have the problems you described.
