My truck starts normally, but does not move …?

I am here in Virginia with my Ford Ranger. Automatic. This was extra cold here lately. Yesterday I found my truck is not moving. It starts, a lot of gas, oil and brake fluid control and fluid transport, which I do not know really what I'm doing, but my cousin helped me. Everything seems fine. Upload laps, the tires squeal, but I just do not seem to reverse an option. My cousin thinks that the brakes are frozen, and add to that, I think we did something wrong with the transmission attempt so hard. I can move a little forward, but not because it is the street now. Of course, I have to be towed somewhere but what someone has an idea of what could be?
