Bmw Motorcycle Austin

Bmw History
Karl Friedrich Rapp is the founder of BMW – one of the largest companies in the world of automobile construction. BMW or Bayerische Motoren Werke (Bavarian Motor Works) was founded in 1916 as a successor to the Rapp Motor.
Many people think that the logo of BMW comes from a propeller White movement seen in the background of blue sky. This may be true but in fact we know it also comes from the blue and white flag of Bavaria – the largest state of Germany. The state capital of Munich, and this is the place where, even today, we can find the BMW headquarters.
In 1916, with the foundation of the company was awarded a contract to build V12 engines. These engines were about to be used in the creation Auto Austro-Daimler. These 12 cylinders V engines were first used in aircraft which is the original plan of the Company BMW. Taking into account the time when the company was founded it is very likely for them to continue like this.
However, in 1919, after the First World War and the Treaty of Versailles of aircraft production in Germany has been prohibited and that quickly changed the policy of BMW. They began make brakes for rail. Shortly after that BMW was able to design a motorcycle engine that was used for the creation of a motorcycle called with the model name of Victoria. However Victoria was not built by BMW, but by another company in Nuremberg.
In 1924, BMW made a model of a motorcycle which was the first one they built – the R32. It was a turning point in the history of BMW because it was a major achievement and for decades they used its technology – 500 cc engines cooled by air. Shortly after BMW has added a new innovation – the shaft. It is time to replace the drive chain and rear wheel has become a brand BMW for some time.
In the German town of Eisenach in 1927 began production of Dixi – under license but only a year after the Company Dixi was purchased by BMW and they have started mass production with the model Austin Seven.
When World War I began BMW took its place in this world because of the motorized division of the German army. They used BMW R75 BMW R12. Because of the need of high BMW engines mark this period as highly profitable. BMW has been the main supplier and even today words like Luftwaffe and Wehrmacht remember many memories. Some of the best planes in that historical moment used BMW engines and aircraft until 1945, more than 30 000 aircraft with those engines were manufactured.
BMW even made researches which enabled the company to make different reactors for weapons. With the use some men power consisting mainly by prisoners of war BMW made many rocket-based, which have been used in war.
Shortly after the creation of the rocket weapons based on the company's shares have been bombed. Soviets razed most of the company located in eastern Germany and the basic plant in Munich was almost completely destroyed.
After the war, BMW did not been able to recover quickly because of the need to rebuild the factory in Munich. After that, when Allied restrictions applied BMW was banned for three long years during which the company was forbidden to produce motorcycles and cars up until 1948 1952.
In 1951, the Bavarian company has been able to find all the brands and it seemed he was finally able to recover and start from what remained. In 1959 Herbert Quandt became the "wheel" which turned the BMW around because he denied an agreement with Daimler-Benz and soon after it increased its share in the company BMW up to 50%.
The name of Kurt Golda is clear that the man who led to Quandt make this step and the same year, BMW has started production of the BMW 700 which was based on the 600 BMW. This little car used 2-cylinder, cooled air engine and a few years later it was renamed "LS". Coupe and convertible some series have also been built.
In 1963, BMW offers a dividend to shareholders of the company and in 1966, the Munich plant reached its maximum capacity and BMW bought Hans Glas GmbH. This Agreement has enabled BMW plants in Landshut and use of Dingolfing.
With a bit of new style provided by Bertone in 1972 BMW has started production of 5 new series and in the following years the company has made significant progress on the market. For 6 years under the leadership of Bernd Pischetsrieder BMW was able to extend its agreement on the market by buying from British Aerospace the Rover Group. Vagabond group's history begins in 1986 and until BMW when it owned the company was able to do many things such as the Rover 400 in 1990.
However, the Rover was sold to Phoenix Venture Holdings and Ford Motor Company as a result of several years of losses for BMW. Press jokingly called Rover "The English Patient" after the output of the eponymous film. However, this has not been very hard on BMW and they have been spared to take the blame. It seems that even the British press was not very enthusiastic about the Rover.
BMW has started production outside of Germany in 1994. New factories been made in South Carolina and even today, making the BMW X5 and BMW Z4 is there. There are factories in other locations such as Oxford, Goodwood and others. After some time assembling BMW began production in South Africa. Today, BMW exports over 50 000 3 Series vehicles yearly to Japan, USA, Africa, Australia and Middle East.
To better serve the market in Eastern Europe and the Middle East BMW is planning to start building a new plant in Cyprus or Greece. A plant in Chennai, India already opened production in 2007.
