I need a video editing software from a Sony DVD handy cam to change my wedding video. Can anyone help?
The video clips will not import my video editing room. He keeps saying he is a type of file not supported and will not appear on my options when I try to import them my timeline. Comments?
You need a converter software, which Sony sells for $ 100 or maybe you can find on the web for free or as shareware. DVDs use a VOB file package, which uses MPEG2 compression. You can copy the VOB files on your computer and edit the VOB files to MPG, but most of open source software is not yet manage. What you should do is change the package VOB to AVI (which is a compression standard RIFF). AVI is guaranteed all the editing software. It is the de facto standard package. It's all about the Codex CODEX and cost money and free software is the Codex only slightly different, so which is paid a software, you pay for these licenses.
