Things to do in Honolulu with children? Car rental in Maui?

Hello I am going to Honolulu for 5 days with my two children, one is 14 and 9 others, someone can help me and tell me what I can do, also on Maui. We love all kinds of things and never has been in Hawaii. In Maui, I can be of 5 days rental car, I have two options: $ 222 for a convertible car and 143 for a Chevrolet Impala or similar. What do you recommend? And if the Impala rental car, how can also have one that is similar to "convertible What can I do too.

First, children will want to spend time watching other children Waikiki beach, perhaps learning how to surf the water is safe for beginners here. Unlike other beaches of Hawaii, this is an urban beach similar to Rio de Janeiro in Brazil or in South Beach, Florida, and is the place to see and be seen (if you're young). Especially on Friday night that all have a blast: * Fair International Kalakaua AVE line is built around a huge fig tree with multiple trunks. Only now the souvenir shops, be sure to market. * On Friday night, the Hilton Hawaiian sponsors free people of fireworks. The beach is crowded, however, go a little early. The Hilton is West Waikiki near the end (at Ala Moana Shopping Center). * The city sponsors free shows around the statue of Duke a few times a week. Indeed rental nontrivial talent and performances vary each time with different hula dance groups and schools. Other sites: * Make sure you go to the Nuuanu Pali Lookout Pali Highway in Honolulu. The wind on the windward side of the island through fireplaces that point, and children are generally violent winds incredible coup here. To adults, the panoramic view of Kaneohe and Kailua is spectacular, easily one of the most beautiful in Hawaii. Power on the path of road will be a path to the right .. along Old Pali .. Take it! Pass through the rainforest and smal reconnect the road. * Pearl Harbor Arizona Memorial, but children as totally restored and submarine docked impressive is also the second World War, is incredible to think that people stayed for weeks in this small small Submersible * To feed your mind, you may want to consider taking them to the Bishop Museum has the largest collection of Hawaiiana everywhere, and as Iolani Palace, the palace holds true only in the United States. * Hiking in the jungle. Be sure to use insect repellent and not use regular shoes are completely muddy and unusable the end. Flops In addition, if you wear flip-economic and breaking (the mud can be sticky) walking in the forest or jungle shoeless, not funny. Investing durable Teva such as shoes, if you go hiking. With children, I recommend hiking to the falls just behind Manoa Honolulu, Manoa Valley. Alternatively, or in addition, you can upload up to Diamond Head, but there are many stairs, and is hot and dry inside the crater (you know Diamond Head is a volcanic crater and is "round" in air?). * One of the strengths will rent equipment for snorkeling and watching tropical fish in Hanauma Bay. This is a national reserve, will that for a movie first. Also, go early to get a parking space, and the water is clearer in the morning before all the tourists kick sand and water from the clouds. And finally, you will have a better chance to see moray eels, sea turtles, etc. before the people to make them flee. Be sure to rent equipment instead of buying cheap equipment: If the mask is not airtight there is nothing worse than that! With rented equipment, you can redeem. There is a rental counter right on the beach Hanauma. * Follow the windward side (the hot side some Jungle Island) Honolulu, taking Likelike Highway Kaneohe, and go counterclockwise around the island along the coast. En route in Kaneohe, a stop at the Japanese Buddhist temple named Byodo-in Temple. Have the children ring the bell for good luck and can buy food for fish to feed the thousands of bright orange, white and red koi, opposite the temple on the lake. Then pass the Polynesian Cultural Center, which is similar to Epcot with flags representing each of the Polynesian culture, located in the South Pacific (Fiji, Samoa, Maori New Zealand, Tonga, etc.). Which is very expensive. A Luau night, but since the center is run by Mormons, no alcohol so it is important to you … (not mine!). Yet then passed to North Shore and all the famous surfing beaches (professional surfing in the winter when the waves are huge). Stop Haleiwa (hah-lay-ee-Vuh) for a traditional Hawaiian shave ice at Aoki (my favorite) or Matsumoto (most popular). * Walk children in Honolulu Chinatown, it seems that nobody in the United States. Be sure to leave children inside the Market Mauna Kea, so they can see all the exotic tropical foods not seen elsewhere. If you walk along Mauna Kea, florists few are famous, because it's there where the line flower leis (necklaces). you can buy an orchid lei for each person, for as low as $ 7 each (I love the smell of Plumeria ILE but only last one or two days). * For a fee, you can go underwater Atlantis, or swim with the dolphins at Sea Life Park or the Kahala Resort. On Maui, there are fewer sites, but they have are impressive: * Driving the cornice of the sea through the jungle to Hana is spectacular, with waterfalls, tropical forests and bamboo Bannans on every corner, in some places. Make sure that children take Dramamine if they are sick, go to another very slow. Stop for banana bread with many posts on the road … each farmer has a recipe different. The road ends just past Hana on the 7 Sacred pools, remember that if you have to push back the way he came. This is a case all day. * You can take boat tours to Molokini, a small volcanic caldera filled with submerged reefs. Wonderful (though sometimes crowded) snorkeling. * There are tours where Zip Line Tours in the jungle and jumping from a cliff hanging on a line. They begin to slow down and get to the cliffs higher and higher. * You can make Haleakala Volcano. It's very cold up there. To see the sun rise (not guaranteed … many times there are clouds), lead-up should begin at 2 pm * The beach near the station Makena (near Wailea) has an area called Turtle Turtle town / city. It is next to the beach, near Prince station. If you snorkel here, you have a good opportunity to see sea turtles here. Be sure to take the kids to a Luau somewhere, are always fun! If you can swing, having a convertible is always special for children if you do not. For me, however, I must say that the tropical sun and humidity makes it very uncomfortable …

The Chevrolet Impala is a fullsize automobile built by the Chevrolet division of General Motors. The Impala became the bestselling automobile in the United States when full sized cars dominated sales. From 1958 until 1965, it was Chevrolets most expensive fullsize car. In 1965, reaching its sales peak, Chevrolet introduced the Caprice. The Impala was then positioned down one trim level but still above the more economical models the Bel Air and Biscayne. It remained the most popular fullsize Chevrolet model through the mideighties. The Impala, named for a southern African antelope, is most readily distinguished by having three sets of taillights, while most contemporary cars only have one or two. It competed in the market against other fullsize cars such as the Ford Galaxie 500 and the Plymouth Fury. The Impala SS nameplate was revived in 1994 96 on the fullsize, rearwheeldrive Chevrolet Author: Miller, Frederic P./ Vandome, Agnes F./ McBrewster, John Binding Type: Paperback Number of Pages: 148 Publication Date: 2010/06/05 Language: English Dimensions: 6.00 x 9.02 x 0.34 inches
