I am looking at buying a used 2006 slk280 but…?
I have found the car I want to buy a certified pre-owned 2006 slk280 with low mileage (22,000) it has everything I want except the Sirius radio and dvd navigation system. Would it be possible to talk them in to upgrading this car for me. I want it to be done right by the MB dealer. I would be afraid I would void the warranty if I had it done after market. What should I say to the dealer? How should I approach this?
They are asking 33k right now. it is standard transmission with comfort package and a few other upgrades. Do you think I can get them to squeeze in the DVD navi and Sirius package here?
You might be able to get the Sirius package, but I doubt you’ll get Navi at no charge. The satellite radio package runs about $750. parts and labor at retail, and would cost the pre-owned dep’t around $500., but the Navigation system is closer to $2,000. What you can do is negotiate a lower price for both systems, have them installed before you take deivery of the car, and include the cost in the financing. It won’t affect the monthly payment very much, and they will both be covered under the CPO warranty.
