I have a Harley sporty (1200)1996 how do I get extra rake?
I have put a 240 wide tirs kit on my custom 1200. I want to gain a little extra rake in the front but not stupid looking. I have heard of ext so you dont cut your frame but cant find them anybody know?

Raked trees are way bad news.
They are appropriate for SPECIFIC purposes.
Beyond that,,they are dangerous.
Search the net for info on that subject,,plenty of warnings/explanations/reasons available.
On a Stock Framed bike,,,”the limit” of increased rake is a Small-ish amount achieved by
a)Lowering Rear
b)Lengthening forks
Shorter Shocks or “lowering kit” and some longer fork tubes
MIGHT give you the look you want.
But it’s NOT a big amount of rake change
Ya gotta consider,,,
actual Frame Mods/Steering Head Cut & Weld has been around a LONG time & remains method-of-choice for Good Reason.
As Big of a leap as it seems sometimes,,,
It usually pays to start off with what you’ll eventually end up with,,,,rather than taking a series of “half-way” measures only to find the results are not what you Really want.
It may SEEM “extreme” for the small amount of Change You want….to take exact same measures as the Really Radical modded bikes.(Even the Stupid Looking ones,,lol).
But it’s really the Best approach to getting More rake,,,and a safe,good riding/handling bike.
