Fishing is King on Sanibel

I started getting the idea that Sanibel must be a great place for fishing holidays when more and more of the tenants asked our vacation fishing in the area. Many of our tenants come from other areas of Florida known for fishing, but they were choosing to holiday in our small island waiting for the catch to be done. Not being a fisherman, had no idea how popular the waters around Sanibel are. Habitats are common for all types of fish and all types of fisherman.

The benefit of the rich waters for those of us who just like fish cooked and served with a glass of white wine is that we can eat a wide variety of freshly caught fish and beautifully prepared in local restaurants. For great local fresh fish, try wood, Melissa Sweet and the Lazy Flamingo where Santivan grouper sandwiches will have to thank all the fishermen out there working very hard to keep you happy and satisfied.

Saltwater Fishing
