The Ford Fusion Hybrid was rated 2010 North American Car of the Year. It’s beat out Toyota’s Prius which is also a hybrid car.
Ford completely redesigned the Ford Fusion in 2010, the most noticeable improvement is the introduction of the hybrid edition. The interior is made is nothing but quality and the hi-tech features put is a step ahead of its competition.
This car is affordable at $27,260, even though the sticker price is $25,666. It gets great gas mileage, 41 miles per gallon in the city and 36 miles per gallon on the highway. With at the pump savings like that even non-hybrid car enthusiasts are giving it a look.
The 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid is a gasoline-electric mid-sized sedan who’s look and comfort are moving up towards that of the more pricy $107,000 Lexus LS 600h hybrid.
The Fusion drives much like a non-hybrid car. The 2010 model was redesigned to look more sports with a wider three bar chrome grill and other chrome accents.
It boasts many impressive high-tech features not found on other cars in this price range. It comes standard with SYNC infotainment system to the new Smart Gauge instrument cluster that helps the driver to be more fuel efficient.
When the 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid was introduced many owners reported the car sometimes felt as though it had lost breaking power. Ford said the feel of the brake pedal can change briefly, but during this time you actually retain braking power. Ford dealerships are currently correcting this issue with a simple software upgrade. The Fusion Hybrids in the showrooms today have already had the software fix applied.
