car seat in a mustang 2002…?
I have a 2002 ford mustang and I have no idea where the latch hooks are to put my babies car seat in! Are there even any in the car? I read in a booklet and magazine that most 2002 cars have all the requirements needed to set the seat up! Is this true and where the heck are they?
I can’t believe that dude said to trade your pony for a rice burning grocery getter! Is he insane or just a super dorky tree hugger with no game?
I don’t have kids, but I have a newer Mustang and have seen the LATCH tethers when I flip my rear seats down to get more trunk space. You may have to dig for them and poke them though the opening in the seat when it’s partially down.
Older vehicles without upper tether attachments can have them retrofitted at dealerships. Lower anchors, however, cannot be retrofitted because of how and where they are attached to the frame of the vehicle. Under federal regulation, lower attachment hardware is required on all vehicles and child restraints manufactured on or after September 1, 2002.
