Harley Davidson Fabrics
Can someone break this down into easier steps?
I got this answer earlier, but i’m having problems following the steps!
Put a piece of fabic on the inside of the jacket. The thread will hold the embroidery and the fabric together and there will be less strain on on the leather.
You have seen embroideries on motorcycle jackets? They have dozens – on the back, front and sleeves.
If they tore as easily as you are wondering about, the person doing the sewing would be in a big heap of trouble.
The sewing is usually a zig-zag stitch done on a sewing machine with a needle for leather.
You have to open the lining so the stitching is done on the leather and backing fabric only.
I have seen this done with a Brother home sewing machine at a Harley Davidson dealership by a little old lady like me
Sandwich the jacket between the patch and a piece of backing fabric. Patch and fabric are the bread, jacket is the meat. How’s that for simplifying?
