Will my Sportster engine overheat if I use high temp engine paint?

I have a 2000 Harley Davidson Sportster engine and I was thinking about painting it with a high temp engine paint from the automotive store. Will this cause my engine to overheat? I have heard it will but I know of a lot of people who have done this with no problems. I am planning on using the same engine paint used on cars. Thanks!

They come painted from the factory, too.
