Honda Motorcycle Insurance Uk

I am new to motorcycling. What will I need to do to make my vechicle road legal?

I have just bought a 1976 Honda Cub (the 90cc model) and would like to know of all the expenses to get it on the road. I have yet to take my CBT, and the motorbike I am getting presumably has no documentation. Could you list ALL the expenses to get it on the road? I know that the road tax is a mere £15 for this catagory, but what of the MOT? And insurance? And what on earth are V5′s and logbooks and do I really need them? I believe I will need to pay £25 to the DVLA for a new V5, but I don’t really know. Could you possibly list all the expenses and their respective prices? Thank you.

Oh! Having re-read the auction it says that the V5 is present. So it can’t be stolen!

A V5 is the log book – and yes you do need to have one! I’ve just read the ad and it says that the V5 is present. Check the engine and frame numbers match the ones on the V5. You will need, MoT, tax, insurance. Not having seen the bike in the flesh – it may need serious money spending on it to get it through an MoT. The frame looks very rusty, they were reknowned for the frames rotting through. Prices? On something that age of unknown condition? The skies the limit- you could find you’ve bought a lemon, I hope not they were a cracking little bike. Good Luck.
