Thinking about getting a Triumph Bonneville America for my first bike, good choice?
Im 22 years old. I’m 6’2, 200lbs. I have zero riding experience on any bike. However I am going to be taking a pretty extensive safety course for beginners soon, followed by a motorcycle mechanical knowledge course.
Ive sat on a few bikes recently. I havent had a chance to sit on a Triumph Bonneville America yet, but by sheer looks and styling, it seems to stir something up in me. I dont know I just have a deep attraction for this bike.
I have already sat on the Honda Shadow 750 which will be my next choice if I cant find a good enough deal on a Triumph Bonneville America.
Im looking for opinions on this. Is this a good beginners bike? How about for my size? Ive also heard some mixed reviews on carburetors for your first bike, might just be talk though.
Nice bike. L.A. Cyclesports has a new 2008 for $7,999 out the door, tax, registration, setup ready to ride out. The Fuel Injected ’09s roll out for $8,999 — including the two-tone paint.
Personally I’d prefer the ’08 — less to go wrong.
