When you say "scene" So I guess you refer to the music and not the novel. Les Miserables is a novel about a student uprising that was before the French revolution. I guess if any scene a harbinger of the French Revolution, it would be when Enjolras and the students discuss their Barracade organization. In the musical is the same scene where Mario arrives and announces that fell in love with Cosette.
