2008.5 Mazda 3: First Impressions

Our long term vehicle is a mid-year model Mazda 3, by mid-year added features as the piano black finish, CD changer with MP3 compatibility, power driver seat, illuminated vanity mirrors and white gauge needles. It also has a new color for the Mazda3: Metropolitan Gray Mica. Mazda has added a second for the color model of mid-year with a beautiful Pearl White option, but we are MGM people.

There are other subtle differences, but not specified above 5 The 2008 Mazda 3 is quite similar to the 2008 Mazda3.

In the pilot

I come from a G35x 2005 Infiniti loaded with every possible options, then I've adjusted my expectations for the development of a lower price ($ 22K with s-plan) was not prepared for how the Mazda3 Blow Me.

I drive my car insurance (sometimes strongly aggressive if there is such a thing) and really put this car through motions during ownership. Driving a car is an experience every time and that depend heavily on the major engines / comfort aspects like leadership, acceleration driving, the cabin noise, long term driving comfort and vehicle technology that will shape all updates future.

Note: You will notice a comparison can be quite strong on my first impressions of the G35 to the Mazda 3 and is mainly due to the fact that I almost bought Mazda3 in 2005 but offered a very good lease in 2005 G35x loaded for about the same as you would pay to own the Mazda3.

It seemed a good idea the time. Biggest regret of my life.

Now that you know me, let's talk about why they're here: first impressions!
First impressions

There are plenty of impressive features in this car! I struggled for a long time not to be technology that prevails in my 2005 Infiniti and the Mazda 3 is like an answer to my prayers. Here are some of my favorite features:

1) Remote Start – I can not believe how bad the remote start is cool. Manufacturers are finally beginning to offer a remote start as an accessory that is installed on the port and I recommend it 200%. It's perfect for every day of cold possible / when you do not like running in time to start the car so you can warm up only to run into the house and finish the preparations.

Remote start is something I do not see living without it anymore and this is not an option on the Infiniti so +1 to Mazda for offering it. To update 2008.5 by mid-year, Mazda has integrated the remote start on the key regularly since it will have two sets of control keys for use in a series.

2) Rain Sensor – If you've never seen, I would not believe. While the main house, do not believe rain-sensing wipers went well, because the stem seems to be in good position and it was raining very hard. I played with the stick a bit and discovered I was in his "No" instead of "Auto". After turning the nozzle in the correct position that works well but I do not think putting "Off" and "Auto" in the transformation of a road of command was the best idea in the world.

3) Manual Leveling HIDS – really do not know if manual. It is a kind of manual and automatic. You move the lever up or down until the desired number (0 – 3) and the car is adjusted to matching headlamp configuration. Leveling headlights are not gadgets and all were very helpful when driving in fog and headlights to increase deer hunting / Pedestrians on the roadside. Another brilliant feature of the G35x was missing.

4) Aux Input – This is the golden feature for me! For a long time (since 2005) always wanted a way to play my iPod in the car. I can not even begin to count the number of trips and meetings to be behind the expectations of a CD for record, so do not have to hear the same old shit in my car while driving there.

In fact, I wanted the AUX input so bad that he refused the Mazda CX-7 when considering buying my next car, purely based on the absence of an AUX input and it was worth ten times. I like being able to connect my iPhone on the stereo and just scroll through playlists to find a list that I feel now. Works great and really could not be more ecstatic this functionality.

5) The Ride – Most people give me a confused look, but I say the Mazda3 GT 2008.5 is a pleasant ride my 2005 Infiniti G35x. Not only will ride better, but it is so quiet and not Mothership "car sick while driving with her in the car. Thumbs up all around!

Thus these are my five favorite things about the car. In general no longer an experience that new car buyers have to try to believe, because it is extremely rare in this price point. I'm finally happy to go to different places to be in the car and I love everything about it! If you do not have one, buy one. If you have one, you can buy a model 2008.5! The new board, power driver's seat and all other calibers are worth it.
