I have first editions Harry Potter books?

I have three Harry Potter first editions. I wish i could say it’s the first three books but it’s not. I have the Chamber of Secrets which was bought in a school car boot sale when it first came out and HP wasn’t that big and it was such a lucky find! The second one is the 6th the Half Blood Prince UK cover and the last one is the 5th- Order of the Phoenix but i don’t know if that is worth as much here because i got it when i lived abroad and it’s an American cover but still first edition. How much do you think these are worth? I will maybe sell them when the last film is out and the craze and settled or might keep them for years yet. What do you think? What would you do?

Chamber of Secrets might be worth something, as there wouldn’t be that many copies of it. I’d be surprised if Order of the Phoenix and Half-Blood Prince are worth much. There were so many of them that they were practically given away with cornflake packets.

In theory, they’ll be worth more later, as long as you take good care of them, but the market for this sort thing is fickle, as authors go in and out of fashion. There are probably websites and magazines dedicated to this sort of trade.
