Rare Color Appearance

Boys: blondes or brunettes?
I am proud to be a natural blonde and brunettes to see so many trying to copy my style.
Well I think it bothers because being a natural blonde is much rarer than being a brunette, blondes are fake minimize my unique character and appearance of my hair at the oddity of nature. It is sad that most of these "dumb blonde" seems, in fact, laying his race (brown) in disguise. If any hair color must be exotic, would natural blonde. We are much, much better player! And guys like us, much better! Vote for blonde! All you are andBORING plain brown.
Brunettes have a mystery fascinating to them personally I want. : D Blonde or brunette is just a matter of preference .. I believe that beautiful women come in all colors of hair. You are proud have naturally blond hair is stupid. Measuring your uniqueness through your hair color is superficial and ego if you ask me … and raising other women do not make you pretty hot! Just because you're blonde does not make you better than anyone.

Appearance and Power $37.94 Appearance has repeatedly been shown to have a potent and immediate effect on others in a wide range of circumstances. In particular, the consequences of women’s appearance are severe and have social, economic, and legal ramifications. From the more obvious role of uniforms in social control through to the subtle interplay between size and status, appearance counts. The vast number of people seeking body alterations or modifications through dieting, tattooing, piercing and plastic surgery attests to the importance of how we look, not only to others but also to ourselves. This book tackles the charged and frequently painful subject of how appearance affects social interaction and the role of larger social structures in perpetuating and institutionalizing it as an evaluative criterion. What effect does obesity have on power(lessness)? What role does women’s dress play in others’ perception of consent in cases of rape? How do groups operating on the margins of mainstream society use appearance to negotiate power, make statements and effect change? What roles do gender and ethnicity play in the workplace? This provocative book attempts not only to answer these questions, but to lay foundations for future research in an area which affects everyone in profound and often invisible ways. |

The Space of Appearance $9.07 What is architecture’s place in the world? Combining history, theory, and polemic, George Baird probes into the conceptual lineage and current expressions of postmodernism and the critique of postmodern architecture over the past four decades, revealing the general failure of these theories to develop an architecture that is politically engaged and affirmative of the public sphere. Hannah Arendt’s imperative of worldliness plays a pivotal role in Baird’s reading of what has come to be called architecture’s belief system. It is not enough, he argues, to reject the totalizing models of publicness that have been typical both of modernism and of many of its postmodern successors. Rather, he insists, it is necessary to construct a "space of appearance" that is large and diverse enough to make places for all of us. Baird stakes out clearly and sharply the recent history of ideas that bear on the field, recovering influences and ideas that have been omitted from standard histories of modernism and building an understanding of our present dilemmas that is constructive and critically informed. The period from 1960 to the present has seen the collapse of the conditions that shored up modern architecture, as conventionally understood, and has also seen modernism succeeded by a whole series of tentative alternatives, none of which has successfully achieved the decisive legitimization modernism once held. After an extended introduction that situates architecture’s current dilemmas within the broader currents of cultural theory, "The Space of Appearance" focuses on specific historical episodes or developments. Each chapter outlines a different controversy or series of controversies, or depicts the gradual and insidious erosion of certain firmly held beliefs. Each chapter is also structured around a conceptual account of issues that have evolved in the trajectory of contemporary cultural theory since the key interventions of Arendt in the 1950s. |

Field Guide to the Rare Plants of Wa $29.63 The "Field Guide to the Rare Plants of Washington" offers a window into the beauty and diversity of the rarest plants in the state and serves as a field guide for people seeking to find and identity these species."Field Guide to the Rare Plants of Washington" includes: -317 vascular plants, six mosses, and one lichen -Full-color photographs of the plants and their habitats, line drawings, and distribution maps -Detailed species descriptions, identification tips, and recommended times for making identifications -Current conservation status and state rank -Complete reference list, synonymies, and glossary Each rare plant is fully characterized through rich description of its appearance, reproductive strategy, associated plants, and habitat, identification of current threats to its survival in Washington, and scarcity in areas outside the state. A trip across Washington presents an array of habitats, from dripping spruce and hemlock forests along the coast to arid grasslands and shrub-steppe and sand dune systems east of the mountains, from low-elevation outwash prairies to treeless slopes of volcanoes and granite peaks, from basalt flows and rocky islands to salt marshes and tiny seeps and riparian edges. This book brings attention to the rarest and least understood plant species that find niches in this complex landscape. Pamela Camp is a private consultant in field biology and restoration ecology and former Spokane District Botanist with the Bureau of Land Management. John C. Gamon is a Natural Heritage Program Manager with the Department of Natural Resources. "This guide will be the primary source of information on rare plants for land managers, ecological consultants, and others who need the most recent data on Washington’s rare plants. I heartily endorse and recommend it." -Art Kruckeberg "It is axiomatic that you cannot conserve that which you cannot find or identify, and that more biological losses owe to ignorance than to malice or indifference. This is why I take such heart and pleasure in the "Field Guide to Rare Plants of Washington." By refreshing the great botanical legacy of Hitchcock, Kruckeberg, Denton and their ilk with contemporary knowledge and nomenclature, enriched by thirty-three years of experience from the Washington Natural Heritage Program, the authors have created a clear and handsome volume of immense conservation importance for our time and for the challenging times to come. What we manage to save of our rich floristic heritage may be largely thanks to this book and its contributors." -Dr. Robert Michael Pyle, author of "The Butterflies of Cascadia, Wintergreen, " etc. |

Transience: A Poiesis, of Dis/Appearance $18.94 Still, duration seems to be considered a "first-rate-value on earth," as deemed by Nietzsche more than 120 years ago, whereas transience tends to be negated. Eluding their re-presentationability, ephemera are sub-ordinated to the enduring and are only thought of as and in relation to permanence. Thinking them as such rather than as such, this book unfolds an onto-phainomenology of transience: a poiesis of the only once, as the only once-an ethics of dis/appearance, a praxis of uttering the unutterable. For there is no here for the now. Review: This text shines like the sea: always in motion, in waves, short or long, with a thousand gleams of the sun, and a thousand small appearances of foam; and one is far from any coast. -Jean-Luc Nancy |
