Used Cars Lots In Michigan

Used Cars Lots In Michigan
Help understanding my 2003 Grand Prix GT, please.?

I learned to drive in my 1998 Achieva which had front wheel drive, ABS, and a traction control system. I traded it in for this Grand Prix GT that does not have ABS or a traction control system, and I think it’s front wheel drive. Last winter was a disaster trying to drive, and I’ve moved into a “snow belt” in Northern Michigan.
Could someone please tell me what techniques to use to drive my car properly in the winter? Even driving in rain is harder in this car, I hydroplane all the time.
And yes, I have about 75 pounds of weight in the back of my car, a lot of people have told me to put weight in my trunk.
I just had my tires checked out and they are fine according to the dealer.
And I’m driving slow in the rain, I have people passing me all the time on my country road. I’m also pregnant, I wouldn’t drive real fast, I’m scared enough as it is.
Ok, please… real tips. If I drive any slower people are going to hit me.

when your driving in snow you need snow tires! it’s made of a softer rubber and has a more open profile or tread or whatever you call it , my English isn’t that up to date. this gets you more grip on snowy roads and on cold days and about hydroplaning, avoid large amounts of water on the road, adjust sort of speak to the road conditions, your car has a lot of power so at least the ’07 model, you do not want to use that all at ones. and loose the extra weight in the car.
