What are decent tires?

I have a 2003 Ford Explorer Sport Trac XLT and instant messaging on the need for tires new, the car comes with Goodyear tires and I would get the same type, but are a bit expensive. I called around and told me I could save or Definity tires Hankook for less money. The problem is that I have never heard of these brands and IM wondering if the tires are decent. Any information help that I know nothing about tires. Thnx

Goodyear is an excellent brand of tires. I currently have Hankook tires on my 2008 Scion xB and work very well for me since I'm not holding speed freak on the road. You have to see the base of the tires, rather, the score. Tires Z give the best performance. They are the ones you want, but are very expensive. R Tires are the most common. You can find them in most sedans, medium, cut, crossings, etc. The finished car is a sport, so it is more likely to have to get a tire with a rating better than R. "They work LL, but not work as well if you want longevity of your tires. While you do not drive like a soccer mom too much caffeine stomach, then it must be good with the tires Hankook R-type.
