Buy a used car or lease a new car?
I’m wanting to get a car. I was thinking I would buy a used 2003-04 Echo, but the dealership suggested leasing a 2008 Yaris. Which would you suggest and why?

Leasing is a good idea if you are planning to trade in and lease another vehicle afterwards.
Read that you have to pay the excess km when you return it.
I would buy the vehicle, cause then after it’s paid, its yours.
For a business its good to lease because of the tax credits.
I do not know what your situation is, and what your income is like so I really can’t say.
Leasing: still get the same warranty, still get the same treatment, you have to pay excess km if you go over the set amount for the term. You still have to do your own maintenance.
Finance: You will probably have to pay more interest.
If you finance the 2003 – 04 Echo, do not finance for more than 2 years. Not worth it any longer. Also I dont believe the 03-04 Echo are as much as the 08 Yaris.
