Whats a good first car for a new driver?(a girl)?

I am starting to look for a car for when i turn 17. My parents want to get me a used car which i totally understand but I have no clue what to get! I have been looking at the Volkswagen Touareg and it looks like a good car, but i don’t know much about cars. help! By the way I’m looking for a crossover

My dad runs a used car lot. You want to buy American made since you probably don’t know how to maintain a car properly. (I’m not calling you stupid it’s just that cars have lots of small things that often break or need changed. Especially with foreign cars). You might also want to stick to something that has low miles, probably 4 wheel drive for the snow. Other than that, just look around on the Internet to see what you like! Good luck.
