Need To Know What You Use To Protect A Canvas Cover For Our Four Winns Boat?

We have a 1985 Four Winns Cuddy Cabin Boat. We need to treat the cover, so that it’s protected against the elements. Does anyone know what type of protectant you would use to spray on there to protect it from the elements, such as, sun, snow, etc? Thanks in advance!

If it is a well made boat cover, it shouldn’t require any additional work on it unless it has aged for quite a while. Make sure you put pole supports to keep water from pooling on your cover and overstretching your boat cover.

If I have a boat cover that is over 3 years, I’ll buy a can or two of scotch guard and spray it down with a decent coat. Other than that, nothing else.
